Found out about CellCashr today via TikTok and filled out the form and it was to the point. The quote was $50 for a smartwatch in mint/good condition.

There was a minor scratch on my watch that you couldn’t notice unless you bring it close to your face, so they took $10 off the quote.

I left a bad environment that nearly ended me and am currently living in a shelter. I had to sell other items to make it by this month, and life has been challenging.

A photo of my ID was taken and sent to “the boss” then the photo of the watch was sent.

I have learned that in this country, if I looked like an attractive blonde with blue eyes or a man with a paler hue, I would have been given the $50 quoted for a watch I took good care of.

Sadly, I was born unattractive and with a darker hue, which means appraisals are lower based on tons of reputable research on bias and lived experience. Regardless, I took the offer to get an additional $5 for leaving a review. I can’t believe in 2026, bias is still real.

Good morning just wanted to let customers know that you’re eligible for an additional $5 if you leave a review. Signage is posted in the lower, right ,corner at the bottom of the counter. Signage should be eye level for everyone to observe.Unfortunately , I observed the sign after my quote was given (not paid ) first the Cashier stated “ I don’t have $5 bills , I had change . Next a lot of excuses were made as to why l couldn’t be honored same due not being able to change whatever was already done to get my quote.Just sharing
